Book of Dreams
by Jack Kerouac
Review this book!
A collection of Kerouac's dreams, written spontaneously after awakening. Many dreams involve cats, and many include characters from Kerouac's novels "doing further strange things for no other particular reason than the mind goes on, the brain ripples, the moon sinks, and everybody hides their heads under pillows with sleepingcaps." This book was dedicated to "the roses of the unborn." This volume contains more than 200 dreams that were not included in the book's initial publication in 1961. The parallels between characters in the dreams and characters in the novels are spelled out in a prologue.
