Damned Good Show
by Derek Robinson
Review this book!
Set in World War II Britain, this novel follows a group of hapless bomber pilots as they struggle to stay alive in the face of the much superior fighting power of the Germans. One of the novel's themes is the fact that the British bombers were not nearly as well-trained and well-prepared as their German counterparts, and that the top brass refused to address this problem, relying instead on good P.R.to cover up the truth.

Media Reviews
"Authenticity and a sneaky style that mixes borderline cliché and brutal truth distinguish this rather subversive take on a story of inept but heroic flying....Readers be warned: appealing characters get shot down and die. It's war, and Robinson never lets you forget it. Brilliant truths about smart lads in the days before smart bombs."
