Publisher Notes
This kooky, clever spin on New Age lingo is a very punny book on a very rich subject. New Age subjects run the gamut from the occult to angels, from astrology to numerology. What they all have in common is a search for spiritual connection in our secular world. Doing away with all earnestness and doctrine of whatever stripe, Swami Beyondananda, author of Driving Your Own Karma, has never metaphysical question he doesn't like. Here, he elaborates on his theory that life is actually easy, is in fact, Duck Soup (an expression that even pre-dates the Marx Brothers and means "fun, easy, a piece of cake"). The Swami is the self-proclaimed leader of a Fundamentalist Revival (accent on Fun), putting levity over gravity and offering seven ways to prevent Truth Decay. According to the Swami, the reason we are put in the material world is to get more material, and Nonjudgment Day is at hand. Although for most of us, life is hardly easy, and can easily be hard, Swami says life can easily be easy and hardly be hard at all. "Am I serious?" asks the Swami. "Absolutely not!"
