Memoirs of a Book Snake

This collector's quest for rare books and first editions began in childhood, and has taken him far and wide, to book stalls in Vietnam, to Willa Cather's gravesite, and through the doors of many dusty bookshops where treasures are stacked in disorderly piles. Here he shares his passion, defining himself as a "book snake," a term coined when a friend misspoke the idiom "book worm".
