Monet

This title is part of the "Famous Artists Series", geared for older children. Each book contains about 50 full-color illustrations--many of which are reproductions of the artists' paintings, a brief biography of the artist, and some explanation of his/her accomplishments. Also included are suggestions on how to imitate some of the artist's techniques. "Monet" introduces readers to the birth of impressionist painting, along with reproductions of some of Monet's more well-known works, such as Haystacks at Giverny, Rouen Cathedral, and Water Lilies.
