Publisher Notes
Here is the correspondence between Nelly Sachs (1891-1970), recipient of the 1966 Nobel Prize for literature, and the great German-language poet Paul Celan (1920-1970). The two poets wrote to one another from 1954 until Celan's death by suicide. Sachs died the day Celan was buried.
Media Reviews
"Poignant reading and an absolute must for anyone interested in 20th century literature or the effects of the Holocaust on those it touched."
