Photographic illustrations of various locales are included--a hospital and mission unit taken from the location where the Himalayan expeditions unload and start trek to Mount Everest; a clinic at Panauti built by Gokul Das, one of the wealthier merchants; a Nepalese farmer carrying an obstinate buffalo calf on the road to Panauti in spite of elephantiasis of his right leg; etc. A really fascinating book.
