Vermillion Lee Durant, the daughter of a family of courtesans, has been groomed to enter into the "family business." One of the most beautiful women in London, Vermillion is also hiding a dark secret. When British soldier Caleb Tanner is ordered to discover who is betraying the Crown's secrets to Napoleon, he is sure that Vermillion and her family are involved in the plot.
