The Life of Graham Greene
1939-1955
by Norman Sherry
Review this book!
This is the second volume of what will be a three-volume biography of Graham Greene. This volume covers the years from 1939 to 1955, among the most eventful of the writer's life. Author Sherry was chosen by Greene to produce an authorized biography, but Greene, to his regret, did not exert editorial control over the work. As Greene himself predicted, he did not live to read this volume; he also predicted that Sherry would not live to read the final volume, a prophecy yet to be fulfilled.

Media Reviews
"Sifting facts from a mine field of misinformation...Sherry offers in volume two a fascinating portrait of the author as double agent with a 'passion for secrecy, deception, and manipulation.'"
