Lee Child Biography & Notes


Lee Child (born 1954) is a British thriller writer currently living in New York City. His first novel, Killing Floor, won the Anthony Award for Best First Novel, while his second book, Die Trying, won the W H Smith Thumping Good Read Award. Subsequent books have been nominated for a variety of accolades and awards.

Each of Child's novels follows the adventures of an American former Military Policeman named Jack Reacher who is wandering the United States in search of redemption.
