New York: D. Appleton & Company. VG/NONE. 1873. Second Edition. Hardcover. Most volumes very good or better. Some minor scuffing or soiling to a couple of volumes. Minor spine fading to a few volumes. Overall this is a beautiful leather set of encyclopedias. ; 4to; Complete in 16 volumes plus index. Additionally, there are annuals for 1876 through 1890 complete plus an additional index for the years 1876-1887. Altogether there are 33 volumes in this set. Beautiful tan leather with gilt titles on black title bands. Very good source material on the Civil War and other events in the latter 19 Century. .
