New York and London: Johnson Reprint Corporation,, 1968. Octavo. Original oatmeal cloth, titles to upper board in brown and to spine gilt on a brown ground, brown endpapers. With the plain paper dust jacket. A fine copy in the unprinted dust jacket with the title written in ink on the spine. First edition in book form. From a total edition of 500 copies this is one of 100 copies signed by Miller, Durrell, and Perles. The story of The Booster is a great one. Originally the in-house organ of a golf club based near Paris the unsuspecting members were initially delighted to have three more or less established writers take over its editorship. Early issues retain many of the adverts for waterproof clothing etc. However the three tyros couldn't help themselves with the content and the members revolted. Consequently the final three issues were released under the name Delta. This signed issue of the facsimile is scarce and most desirable. It is also one of the very few chances to see Miller's and Durrell's signatures in such close proximity.
