Book is bright, crisp, clean and unworn, tight and square. Flawless and practically as new. Immaculate interior that appears unread. No previous owner's signature. Dust jacket has some slight surface wear on the front panel and some very faint touches of creasing along the top edges and is otherwise Fine, being bright and clean with no tears or sun-toning. Jacket is protected in an archival mylar cover. Later printing of the first edition as indicated by no first edition statement on the copyright page which has just five lines of text including the ISBN number, the title page with "Doubleday & Company" on the next line directly beneath the author's name (as on the first printing), code Y45 printed in the gutter of page 199 indicating that this copy was printed in 1983, and dust jacket with publisher's price of $13.95 printed on the front flap. Same size and format as the first printing in 1974, measuring 8 1/2" x 5 3/4", in full red-cloth binding with gold lettering on the spine..
