Philadelphia: Amies Publishing Co. 1884. (Leather binding) Very good. 1468pp. A large volume in ornamentally stamped brown leather (front and back) with gilt lettering. All edges gilt, marbelled endpapers, beautifully illustrated with numerous steel engravings from original drawings, chiefly portraits in character of the most distinguished American actors. The cover is worn around the edges with a few small holes worn through on the back hinge, the front endpaper has a previous owner's inscription and a 3 inch rectangular area near the top where a label has been removed with some loss to the page. (Drama).
