New York: Houghton Mifflin, 1943. First Edition 1st Printing. Hardcover. Good/Very Good. 1943 Houghton Mifflin TRUE FIRST EDITION of this Ultra-SCARCE classic! This is a more than decent but flawed copy and in Good/VG condition. Most importantly this copy has the elusive title page with "1943" on the title page, the only designation of a true first! It is ex-library with a variant or rebound boards in a dark pebbled blue. Inside the end pages have a spiderweb pattern and there are the usual library marks on these. Since it was war time these books were so very cheaply produced with numerous publication flaws. The text however is very tight with very tiny marks on several pages but overall and very clean copy. **THE INCREDIBLY ELUSIVE FIRST STATE DJ is unclipped DJ is a the TRUE first edition and is just a tad larger than the boards. **BONUS** Laid in is a *SIGNED* note by Capsary, " Love and good wishes for all holidays and all year-VERA." Description:
Star Italian composer of operas (1792-1868), of which he created 39, including Il Barbiere di Siviglia and famous Italian tenor (1790-1864).Double signed aria score for piano and voice, a cavatina for the role of Ricciardo from "Ricciardo e Zoraide", opera by Rossini. This opera was world premiered in 1818 with Giovanni David creating the role of Ricciardo.
Signed by the composer and the role creator on the first page of the score, an engraving print of 6 pages, with both signatures on the first page. Rossini dated his signature in Paris in 1864, both men inscribed this to Minelli - obviously, Rossini´s friend called Napoleone Minelli, an opera fan.
First page also bears a couple of blind stamps by a previous owner (Giuseppe Galli) and an ink stamp, in light blue color, illegible. Neither of them affect the signatures. Soft cardboard covers probably added later (see last scan), total size is 13.6 x 9.75 inches, minor rust stains, all in excellent condition.

Description:
London, September 1900. Booklet. This early and noteworthy Churchill signature dates from September 1900. It is found in an autograph booklet signed by 29 journalists attending The Annual Conference of the Institute of Journalists in London. In September 1900, Winston Churchill was just 25 years old, a soldier and war-correspondent who had yet to hold elected office. On 8 September 1900, Churchill wrote to his mother, Lady Randolph: "My dear Mamma, I am sorry not to be able to come until Wednesday morning, but I thought it better to attend the Annual Dinner of the Conference of the Institute of Journalists, at which I have been invited to reply for the war-correspondents. It is a good thing now and again to make a speech unconnected with politics and it is also a good thing, and opportunity not to be missed, to speak before the writers of Great Britain. I hope you will make my apologies to Lady Sassoon. I shall have four days at Alvie before I go south to Oldham, and I am looking forward very…
