Dust jacket shows light wear along top edge with a one sixteenth inch tear on the rear panel. There is a very light smudge on DJ near head of spine. Jacket is otherwise bright and clean and is now protected in a clear mylar sleeve.. First Edition. Cloth - Hard Cover. Near Fine/Very Good. Illus. by Lilian J. Reichard.

Minimal library distinctions, "Property of the Federal Government, W.P.A. Arizona Statewide Project" stamped 1st Title Page, pocket intact (1 check out), otherwise, appears as near unblemished copy in tan cloth boards displaying minor surface/edge wear, with small tear at head of spine. This was probably an Indian Reservation copy. Publishers information pasted to FLEP, light age foxing.
Illustrated by Lilian J. Reichard & Gladys A. Reichard. The flow of daily life on the Navajo Reservation centered in the activities of the matriarch of the family group, vividly and poetically told by a sympathetic observer of the The People. Though the account is fictionalized to the extent that it does not describe any living person, there is probably more truth here than in many scientific reports.
