First Edition, signed and inscribed by Donoghue on the ffep to noted Canadian Oil Industry journalist and financial expert Leslie Orr Rowland, with his bookplate on the front pastedown. Octavo, pictorial jacket painted by Bill Brownridge. 148 numbered pages, some b&w photographs. Book and jacket in sparkling fine condition. Hard to imagine a more collectible example of this title - Donoghue's account of his World War II experiences in one of the highly-regarded Canadian Public Relations unit - than this one. A first edition, signed and inscribed, in the year of publication, to another notable Canadian: Leslie Rowland (whose armorial bookplate graces the front pastedown) was a journalist and analyst for many years within the Canadian oil industry, and won much recognition for it All in a perfectly preserved, Fine example. Donoghue's inscription: "For Les Rowland - friend of long standing; Back to U. of M. Canada's most authoritative and competent journalist covering the Oil Patch. Hope you like the book !" L39n
