A limited First Edition printing of 1381 copies "representing the number of orders received by [Covici, Friede] up to February 15, 1933", and signed by E .E. Cummings on the colophon page. This is #1263. A bright copy in the publisher's yellow cloth of Cumming's travelogue of his visit to the Soviet Union in 1931. The dustjacket is good only, with loss at the bottom of the spine affecting the Covici Friede imprint, as well as at the corners. A good-sized piece is missing at the bottom of the blank rear flap of the jacket. There are no marks of any kind in the book. Near Fine binding / Good dust jacket.
