Bordeaux: Coubert, 1814. First edition. 346,[4]pp. Modern blue marbled cloth with leather label gold stamped:"W. Lee-Etat-Unis et Angleterre Howes L221: "Maintains that the current war, provoked by England, would be won by the United States, whose cause was that of all continental Europe." Sabin 39803. The translation was accomplished by Antoine Jay. Lee was American Consul at Bordeaux from 1807 - 1816. He was expelled by the government because of his liberalism.
