Boston: Bruce Humphries, Inc., 1951. Rabbi Beryl D. Cohon was the founding rabbi of Temple Sinai in Brookline, Massachusetts. Their religious school is named in his honor. He was the author of several book for adults and children. with a Preface by Samuel S. Cohon 8vo size slim blue clothbound hardcover with gilt titles on spine; 133 toned pages. Signed and inscribed by author on fep; dated Purim 1952. From page 11: "This book is offered as volume of sermons preached by a Rabbi from his pulpit on the Sabbaths, the festivals, and holy days; it is not a book of essays, nor an analysis of "the Jewish problem," not a discussion of Jewish affairs. It is a book of sermons." Very small spot on fep. Lightly sunned spine. Bumped and worn corners and top and bottom of spine. We noted pencilled brackets in the margins on at least three pages.
