Hardcover with dustjacket, first printing as stated on copyright page, this beautiful copy is inscribed, signed and dated by the author: "To Clara Westerman, whose presence in class and whose improvement in writing have been good experiences for me. Alfred Powers - Portland Nov, 21, 1944." Book is in excellent condition, a mild wrinkle at the bottom corners is the only remarkable flaw, the jacket is also in great shape, the beige background color on the spine has been sunned to pale yellow, this "new" color blends in fine with the original color on the front and rear panels so this is a minor flaw, there are no other remarkable flaws other than a few small spots of foxing along the fold of the rear flap, the original price (2.25) is present and a professional (removable) mylar cover is included, illustrated by James Reid, "Told against a rich and… Read More
