HARDCOVER, bound in contemporary quarter shagreen and marbled boards, spine in compartments between raised band, a little chafed, gilt lettering, French Vellum corners, cloth inner hinges, marbled endpapers, sprinkled edges, very few worm holes at foot of spine with some worming evidence at gutter of inner hinge. Handsome, wide-margined copy, in overall fine condition. ~ First French edition. An unnumbered copy from a limited edition of 500 copies only. B-3
