There is a name on a front end paper; otherwise it is unmarked. The full leather binding is lightly rubbed at the edges with a small chip at the top of the spine and a small scuff at the top of the rear board. The leather bands which were designed to seal the book closed are mostly missing. The outer leather is marvelously aged. There are raised bands on the spine with a blind stamped title. There is, stamped on the front, a scene that mimics an illuminated drawing. There is an illuminated, full color frontispiece and each of the four books starts with a similarly illuminated title page. The top page edge is red, the other page edges are deckled and are lightly rubbed and toned. Internally there is little toning, mainly on the edges of the end papers. It has 309 pages.
