Scrapbook, pp.100 filled with original newspaper cuttings on various subjects- from the formation of the BBC, John Logie Baird, first broadcasts of Harry Lauder, Dame Nellie Melba, Sir John Reith, beginning of TV, the thermionic valve, crystal sets, telephones, Glasgow Broadcasting Station and its role in early broadcasting, attempts to communicate by 'wireless radio' with Martians. The cuttings are interspersed with manuscript notes on technical aspects of early broadcasting. A fascinating scrapbook giving a unique insight into the early days of TV, radio and telephony
