First Edition; Cr. 8vo; pp. 172, 4 pages of press opinions; bound in original maroon cloth, elaborate gilt blind stamp circular globe device with large sailing ships on top and bottom surrounding the title on front board, previous owner's bookplate on front endpaper, cloth a little rubbed, very good copy. Authors voyages on the " Sussex " into Melbourne and fully describes all about his experience, including weather and grog rationing on a daily basis. Gives a good account of Melbourne in the sixties where the Author resided in Victoria for six months also descriptions of with families being united on the docks, new areas just being added to Melbourne are St. Kilda, Williamstown, and Chinatown.
