Collected letters of Dr. Chalubinski (1820-1889), a Warsaw physician who established a tuberculosis sanatorium in Zakopane in the Tatra Mountains. He was also a co-founder of the Polish Tatra Society (Towarzystwa Tatrzanskiego). Lots of photos, fold-out genealogical chart (Tablica Genealogiczna) and a map (Mapa Tatr), chronology of the doctor's life (Kalendarz Zycia Tytusa Chalunbinskiego), indices, bibliography. Cloth-covered boards with gilt lettering on spine and front cover. Light soiling on cover and text block edges, former owner's inscription on front free endpaper, edges of genealogical table creased; text pages otherwise clean and binding sturdy. .
