Both this work and DuPont's EXTRACTS FROM PRIVATE JOURNAL-LETTERS... were issued in privately printed editions of only fifty copies for private distribution, and are exceedingly rare. He also commanded the Atlantic blockading forces against the Confederacy for the first two years of the Civil War. EBERSTADT 132:174. HOWES D589, "b." GARRETT, p.207. HILL 520.
