Ca. 1901.. 11 chromolithographic plates, two-color and black and white full page illustrations, black and white in-text illustrations, viii+382pp, 10 x 7 3/4 inches, color pictorial paper covered boards with cloth spine (hardbound). Cover extremities rubbed; front hinge split after contents page but still attached, toning to edges, light soiling and a few edge tears to a couple of pages, overall good clean condition. A vintage collection of children's tales. Illustrators include Ethel Parkinson, May Gladwin, etc. Includes several stereotyped African American caricature plates by Parkinson. .
