Brown cloth backed buckskin boards, gilt titles, no names, no writing. "Rarest of all Indian captivities and the rarest Texas book, known only as a probably non-existent ghost. A copy is now at Yale, original was printed in Houston in 1838. It recounts one of the most amazing tales of Indian capture and captivity of a Texan woman and her children by the ferocious Comanche Indians." - John Jenkins who has here re-issued in an edition of 400 numbered, autographed copies.

A limited edition, being a photographic facsimile of the first Indian captivity narrative printed in the state of Texas. Seventeen-year-old Rachael Plummer was kidnapped by raiding Comanches in 1836, and this is her own account of her "all and every trouble." With a Preface by Archibald Hanna and an Introduction by William S. Reese. Number 367 of 400 copies signed by Hanna and Reese on the limitation page.
