Nice tight copy, no names or marks inside. War Economy standard edition but Cape appear to have got a good batch of paper as usual toning is not present. ; 382 pages; Agate was one of Britain's most influential theatre critics in the inter- war period being drama critic for The Sunday Times. This book being a compilation of reviews of stage performances that originally appeared in that newspaper gives a vivid picture of the British theatre of this era. .
