A good description by a multi-talented writer and photographer who travelled with the distinguished Tibetologist Guiseppe Tucci on two of his expeditions in the nineteen thirties and forties. Fosco Maraini (1912-2004) was an Italian ethnologist, photographer, film maker, writer and professor.
