Cassell, 1895 gilt dec. cloth, superb binding, well illustrated throughout, but good amount of descriptive text as well, minor wear to joints, superficial mark to fore edge gilt, hinges tender but not yet fully cracked, top rear corner slight bump with crease to paste down but not cracked, tail of spine bumped, bottom 2cm of upper joint split, fore edge of upper board slightly bumped, this was a mint copy, but was involved in the Christchurch 2011 earthquake and was recovered from my demolished shop, it was sealed in a bag so the damage was minimal! (Bagnall P586). First Edition. Decorative Cloth. Very Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7? - 9? tall.

Root's early-century, over-sized "dollhouse" book with illustrations (furniture, etc.) that can be cut out and mounted in any of nine different rooms. Full-color lithographs comprise an entire house. Root deliberately limited the number of illustrations so that the house could be customized and furnished with illustrations cut out from magazines and other sources. Rare. No copies appear in WorldCat library database at the time of this posting. 30 pp. 15 5/8" x 10". Tight copy with considerable shelf wear. Corners bumped and worn through, as are about half the edges.
