Boards are clean. Light wear to extremities. Binding is square and tight. Dust jacket has mild to moderate rubbing, toning and creasing to edges, corners and ends of spine; fading to spine. NY/Boston: Duell Sloan Pearce/Little Brown. (1952). An "autobiographical narrative" in experimental prose, defying the conventions of standard autobiography or memoir; the essay is narrated by a character named "D.," who was the main character, Demarest, of Aiken's first novel, Blue Voyage, in 1927. Binder's glue shadows at the joints; a near fine copy in a very good dust jacket with a crease to the rear panel and an open tear at the top edge there.

Aikens autobiography, told in the third person, originally published in 1952, and revised in this edition with its cast of characters revealed (Ezra Pound, T. S. Eliot, Malcolm Lowry, John Gould Fletcher) and with many illustrations and photos. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 365 pages .

Titled DJ shows soiling commensurate w age and handling, 1.5cm triangular chip to top front edge, 1.5cm loss to head, and is price-clipped. DJ now preserved in archival cover. Octavo.
