New York: Olympia Press, 1968. Paperback. Light shelfwear. Very good. 164 pp. + ads. An erotic novel. There is an amusing exchange of correspondence between Zachary and Patrick J. Kearney in the latter's A Bibliography of the Publications of the New York Olympia Press, in which Zachary (aka Zach Hughes, and by then a minister) denies being Kanto, and claims that Kanto was a great practical joker, a cheat at poker, and many other things, but definintely not him -- despite the facts stated in Contemporary Authors ('a plant by Pete,' he claims). The spurious Kanto yarn ends with: 'I worked on Pete for several years, trying to win his soul for Christ, and I don't often admit defeat, but in this case I did. Pete disappeared. He was talking about taking a job as a technical writer with Bell Helicopters in Iran just before the overthrow of the Shah, and Ilve often wondered if he was in Iran when the big blow-up came.'.
