"One of our family members was aboard this ship. When he was returned from Japanese internment, he weighed 96 pounds. This man was 6'2" tall. As a ten year old, I remember thinking that our cousin Frankie looked like a live skelton. My little brother is 65 this year, and he sailed on Merchant Ships in the 1960's. I am giving him this book, about his relative, and so that he can read about the Merchant Marines of our country."
