They discussions on the lives and works of such notaries as Dickens, Thackeray, Disraeli, Trollope, and a general dissertation on the Victorian era. Dark blue cloth spine, lighter blue boards, gold titles on spine and cover. Cloth and boards are moderately stained with some fading to boards. Rubbing to head and tail of spine. A couple of points are soft. Top edge of pages gilt. Small sticker on rear paste-down reads "The Norman, Remington Co. Baltimore". Liquid stain to bottom edge of first half of book, about 2 1/2" long by about 1/3' high does not interfere with text. 234p.. First Edition. Cloth and Board.
