"While this is a fairly comprehensive look, the author does make it all seem a little bland. Given the nature of the operations covered that may sound strange. The part best covered was the work done by the beach survey teams swimming in from subs to gather data on potential landing sites. The appendices are a great resource for serious WW2 readers."
