Book desription: London: His Majesty's Stationery Office., 1928. pp:xxxvi, 413; x, 214. Illustrated with b&w photographs of art works. Indices to both volumes. [Vol.I]: PICTURES AND DRAWINGS : Text with Historical Notes and Illustrations. [Vol. II] : PICTURES AND DRAWINGS ( Illustrations). Vol I is the fifteenth edition (1928), the first edition being published in 1900. Vol II is the second edtion( 1930), the first being published in 1925. Both volumes are bound in standard HMSO brown wrappers. Both volumes have a little wear to the edges with Vol. II having a half inch tear to the top of the front joint. Both volumes hav a slight bow to them. Although the first edition does have illustrations they are small and included as text figures; the second volume was published later and has much larger illustrations. The indices of the first volume include Index of Sales and Former Owners; Table of Acquisitions in Order of Time ( includes prices paid). Overall a very good pair.. Printed Wrappers. Very Good.
