Book description: Toronto: The Circle (C) Press., 1983. pp: 128. Illustrated with b&w photographs and drawings. Light soiling to front cover. Owner's name to inside of front cover. Number 136 of a limited edition of 600 copies. The production ( which claims to be " Done by Hand") appears to be a mimeograph , or some similar process , taken directly from the typescript . It is , unfortunately not a process that lends itself well to good reproduction of photographs! The content, however, is of great interest as the author's grandparents and parents moved to Chilliwack in 1882, from Owen Sound, Ontario, making them some of the very earliest settlers of the region. The author was born in 1892 and lived most of her life in the valley. Apparently a second part of this history was planned for Spring/ Summer 1984 but I do not know if it was ever published. This part goes up to about 1940.. Limited/Numbered Edition.. Illustrated Wrappers. Near Fine. Illus. by Joy Strong.. 8vo. Canada, British Columbia, Chilliwack, Local History, Biography..
