Book desription: London: George Routledge and Sons, 1876. Gilt title block and decoration to spine, gilt sailing ship with black borders and ruling to front, blind embossed borders and ruling to back on red faux leather cloth boards. Boards are clean and unmarked with just a touch of wear to spine head and tail with gilt still very bright. Internally there is a coloured decorative prize bookplate with date of midsummer 1876 and some minor marks to some pages else clean, tight and unmarked. All edges gilt. iv and 254 pages with frontispiece and 5 other illustrations by Riou. The second UK edition. A very attractive volume of one of the scarcer editions of the work and in surprisingly very good condition for it's age. . Cloth. Very Good AEG/No Jacket. Illus. by Riou. 16mo - over 5¾" - 6¾" tall.
