Book Description

London: Peter Davies, 1927. Original salmon-coloured paper covered boards with green illustration and lettering, somewhat grubby from handling. Previous owner's name on front free endpaper. The book belonged to Joan Foster, one of the daughters of the Honourable Walter Foster, Premier on New Brunswick from 1917 to 1923, and later Senator of Canada. This small book measures 3 1/4" by 5" and is part of the "Little Books" series edited by Charles Whibley. It is a reprint of a book originally published in 1778.
