Text and binding are both clean with no markings. The very lightweight dust jacket is a disaster! Several large tears and a 2" by 3" piece missing from the top of the rear panel. Originally published in 1936, the book is a very complete guide to house building..at least from the carpentry side. Many of the tools and some of the materials will have changed since the 30s but I suspect that the majority of the text is as useful now as it was then. And having seen some of the $500.000 houses being thrown together in our neck of the woods most of the " craftsmen" should have this little volume force-fed to them.. Fifth Impression.. Cloth.
