SECOND EDITION.The same year as the first printing.CHARLES DICKENS COPY from his library at Gadshill.With both Dickens bookplate,and the Library bookplate stating--From the Library of Charles Dickens,Gadshill Place,June,1870.--both on the front paste down endpaper.A later owner's bookplate is tipped in to the front free endpaper.Ink splashes to both front and rear endpapers otherwise a very good clean copy in publishers brown cloth.Boards with decorative blindstamping,spine lettered and decorated in gilt.Both inner hinges split and loose but the book is still intact.Boards rubbed and bumped and neat,professional repair to split on about 3 inches of the lower outer hinge.Overall a near very good copy of this scarce title.Both Sadlier and Wolff lacked a copy of this book in any edition and no copy is listed in the ABPC book auction records for the last thirty years.:
