Book summary
Sage Taylor is the daughter of a white mother and a black father who abandoned the family before she was born. She lives at her college, in a dormitory room she has not left in weeks, and dreams obsessively of meeting her father. Outside, Sage imagines that she sees someone stalking her, and her paranoia combines with her already-confused identity to drive her deeper and deeper into a terror of despair. When her brothers and sisters realize what is happening to her, they attempt to organize a plan of rescue.
