This contains a map giving the location of the bike routes, and a graphical illustration showing the routes and how they might be linked together to make longer trips, There's a brief discussion of the advantages and disadvantages of each area so that you can compare the type of mountain-biking you want to do to what is available. As the three highland areas are next to each other there is a number of off-road linking routes if you need to do a very long off-road tour. Pubs, tea rooms and youth hostels are mentioned which are near the routes and may prove useful. The author runs a special bus service which takes people mountain-biking all over Scotland. .
