This is a heavy, 624 page buckram bound Hardcover maroon and black with an embossed logo in gray and gilt titles on cover and spine. There is some wear to cover at top and bottom of spine and corners and the gilt titles on cover are slightly rubbed. Note and pencilled price on front end page. Slight browning to blank end papers. Pastedown is firmly in place but front hinge is a bit wobbly. There is a very strong musty odor to this volume, which we have been treating with dessicant, and it has abated only slightly. Contains numerous black and white and some color photographs. Graduates are grouped by the region of the country they hail from. Large section of Athletic teams and sporting events. Ike cheers for Navy as President Dwight D. Eisenhauer attends one of their football games. There is a large section of vintage advertisements at the back of the book, including a full page ad for Standard Oil Company captioned "Getting Oil in a Jungle Country...It's a Big American Job!" and a full page ad for Pontiac "Dollar for Dollar You Can't Beat a Pontiac: This could only happen in the USA!" Other notable ads are for Coca Cola, Chevrolet, Plymouth, Chesterfield (in color and featuring Ruth Roman and Ben Hogan). Collectors of vintage advertising would be interested in this volume. Notable students and graduates include: Admiral Ronald H. Hayes, USN, class of 1950, Lt. General Charles G. Cooper, USMC, class of 1950, H. Ross Perot, class of 1953 is likely pictured also.
