About very good bound in leather with decorative gilt border and spine. Front board detached. Corners rubbed and bumped, spine ends rubbed and some scuffing to title on spine. Otherwise some rubbing and soiling to covers. Ex Libris of two previous owners (Edith de Long and John Evan Davies) on front paste-down. Large folding Yam festival fold-out has been repaired/ reinforced along folds with cloth tape to back side. No evidenc of repairs to other fold-outs. Interior shows sporadic foxing, most heavily on leaves of music and their facing pages. Shadow of plates also appear on their facing pages. A very handsome book. Uncommon.. First Edition. Full-Leather. About Very Good. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall.

A term used generally to describe the approximate size of a book, a book that is about 10" to 12" tall and roughly squarish in shape. The term is based on the size of paper traditionally used by book printers which has been folded and cut into 16 pages. bumped : Indicates that the affected part of the book has been impacted in such a way so as to cause a flattening, indention, or light bending. Cloth : Generally refers to a hardcover with cloth covering the outside of the book covers.
