London: Crosby Lockwood and Son, 1917. Stated "Third Edition, Revised", 1917, 362pp. plus 2 page ad, with 250 illustrations and 12 photographic plates. From the preface: "This book has been written in the hope that it may prove of service to young engineers, Students in Technical Institutes, and Candidates for the Examination for entry into the Royal Navy as Engine Room Artificers. It should also be of use to those taking the City and Guilds Examination in Fitting and Turning.". Cracked in gutter at front (not at endpaper but next page) hence the book has been graded Good only. The text block is still firm in binding. Previous owners name/address on the front pastedown endpaper and light soiling throughout (a few rub marks) otherwise pages are unmarked. Dark red boards have light edge wear, soil marks and corner bumping. Actual book for sale pictured. 12.8 x 19.3 x 3.5 cm, wt800g. Third Edition (revised). Hard Cover. G/No Jacket. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
