TWO VOLUMES.Second edition,the same year as the first.Twelve full page plates by Helen Allingham and H.Paterson.Thirteen pages in volume one have some underlining and marginalia in light blue ink.Repair to closed tear in title and contents page in volume one,otherwise a very good copy bound,without half titles,in recent half tan morocco.Spines with five raised bands.Gilt ruling,decoration and lettering.Marbled paper on boards.Top edges gilt.An attractive copy of the second edition,almost as elusive as the first.Only 500 copies were printed.After this edition the book was published as a single volume.:
