Book Description
Great Britain: Collins This is a "soft" hardcover - red leatherette-type covers, no dust jacket, pocket library size. Printed as part of the "Library of Classics" by Collins, London/Glasgow. The story of Scott's dash to the South Pole, told by Teddy Evans, later Admiral Evans. Not sure what year it was printed (no date shown), but it does mention that Adm. Evans became a baron in 1945; therefore, printed after 1945. There's a small oval sticker inside the front cover that says "Presbyterian Bookroom, Melbourne". The cover is separated from the book itself at the front hinge, but the pages are all still firmly glued/bound together and attached to the back cover. Read with care. Six pages of maps at the back. Fascinating book, if not in perfect condition, still readable and enjoyable. No store stamps, markings, scribbles, or dogeared pages found. Inventory #EVA-173.. Fair/No Jacket. 6" x 4".
